El cañón Atomic de 280 mm., fue la mayor pieza de artillería móvil con capacidad nuclear del ejercito norteamericano, los Estados Unidos fabricó 20 unidades y nunca se han utilizado en guerra.
El 25 de mayo de 1953 uno de estos cañones disparó un proyectil atómico a una distancia de 7 kilómetros en el Nevada Test Site (Google Map), la operación Upshot-Knothole Grable fue una de las muchas pruebas atómicas grabadas por el ejercito de los Estados Unidos. En el vídeo se muestra el momento de la prueba y sus devastadores efectos.
