El premio Noble de la Paz 2007 ha sido concedido a Al Gore y al IPCC (
Tengo que reconocer que en un principio, me quedé un tanto sorprendido. Me pregunté que tiene que ver ecologismo y pacifismo.
Mi conclusión es que ambos buscan el bien para toda la sociedad por medios pacíficos, ambos utilizan armas de convencimiento masivo como son las imágenes y las palabras para tratar de evitar una lenta, pero casi segura catástrofe mundial, si los gobernantes del mundo no hacen nada para cambiar sus políticas medioambientales ante el cambio climático, que claramente se está produciendo.
Algunos han querido ver en este premio a Al Gore un varapalo a George W. Bush, no creo que sepa quien es Alfred Nobel y el Premio Nobel de la Paz, descubre ahora su existencia.
Yo también creo que es, sino un varapalo, sí un tirón de orejas a la administración Bush por la forma en que trata los asuntos relacionados con el medio natural. Creo, por otra parte, que darle este premio a Gore es exagerado cuando hay muchas otras organizaciones que llevan años haciendo un trabajo fundamental en ese mismo ámbito. No son, vamos, recién llegados ni tienen la proyección mediática del ex vicepresidente norteamericano. Saludos.

Coincido con Migramundo, el galardón es exagerado y hay muchas organizaciones que se lo merecen antes que Gore.
