Entrevista a José María García publicada hoy en Faro de Vigo:
«…. El periodismo español está pasando su peor época. Se encuentra en un estado catatónico y habría que retornar a los tiempos de Franco para encontrar una situación tan siniestra como la que vivimos ahora.
– ¿Cómo se ha llegado a esta situación?
– Los empresarios no son empresarios y los periodistas tampoco. La pluralidad no existe y el gran damnificado es el receptor: oyente, lector o telespectador.
– ¿Qué opina de la decisión del PP de vetar al grupo Prisa?
– Es un ejemplo más de lo que estamos hablando. Tenemos unos políticos mediocres. Y esa mediocridad arrastra a los profesionales de la información que, en un elevado porcentaje, han sido sustituidos por pseudoperiodistas. La bancarrota informativa es indiscutible….»
José María García es un señor que ha dicho en la entrevista con Jesús Quinteros que le gustaría dirigir una mass media, controlar un periódico, una radio y una emisora de televisión que sea plural. En este mundo en que vivimos éso es una utopía, un imposible porque para que vivan esos medios hace falta publicidad y quién va a criticar al que da el dinero para que el negocio funcione. El señor José María García, además acusó a Florentino Pérez de comportamientos mafiosos, pues que presente pruebas si es un profesional y que utilice la regla de oro del periodismo, si es que la conoce: la utilización de tres fuentes.
